Shimla - the state capital and once the summer capital of the British Raj, it's a cool and charming Himalaya outpost. Manali - a buzzing and popular hill station, it's one of the hubs for travel around this part of the Himalaya.

ITINERARY
Day 1 : Arrive Delhi / Shimla (380 kms)
Arrive in Delhi and transfer by road to Shimla (343 kms / 8 hrs), the former summer capital of British India and now capital of Himachal Pradesh.Set amidst the snow-capped Shivalik mountain ranges, it offers a stunning view of the mighty Himalayas. Upon arrival proceed to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure, overnight at hotel.
Day 2 : kufri
This morning you will visit Kufri, situated at an altitude of 2500 metres, just an hour drive from Shimla and a popular ski resort during the winter months.Later this afternoon take a walking tour of Shimla, visit the Jakoo Hills, which offer a panoramic view of Shimla town, the Viceregal Lodge and later walk down the Mall road. Overnight at hotel
Day 3 : Shimla/ Manali (285 kms)
Today proceed to Manali (285 kms / 7 hrs) a picture-perfect hill resort at an altitude of 1,929 metres. Set amidst pine-clad mountains, which gradually close in on both sides of the Beas, it nestles in their shade, as though carved out of the primeval forest. Upon arrival proceed to your hotel. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel
Day 4 : Manali
This morning take a walking tour of Manali, visit the 450-year-old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarving, Tibetan Monastery and a Handicraft Centre. Rest of the day at leisure OR optionally you may walk to the nearby picturesque village of Vashisht, known for its hot sulphur springs. Overnight at hotel
Day 5 : Manali
This morning you will visit the Solang Valley, which offers a spectacular view of glaciers and snow-capped peaks. A place not to be missed is Rohtang Pass, 51 kms from Manali at an altitude of 3978 metres (subject to weather conditions and road being open). Rest of the day is at leisure OR take a stroll down the Mall road. Overnight at hotel
Day 6 : Manali--chandigarh
This morning you will visit the Kullu valley, celebrated as the Valley of Gods. Later you will be transferred by road to Chandigarh (274 kms / 7-8 hrs), upon arrival proceed to your hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight at hotel
Day 7 Chandigarh - Delhi
Transfer by road to Delhi (300 kms / 6-7 hrs).
